Eating Concerns Assessment and Treatment Team (ECATT)

The Eating Concerns Assessment and Treatment Team (ECATT) is a collaborative group of multidisciplinary health professionals from across Illinois State University. These professionals work together to offer services for the assessment, treatment, and prevention of disordered eating.

If you, or someone you are concerned about, are struggling with food, eating, or body image concerns, or if you have questions that you would like to talk with a professional about, Illinois State University has many resources available to you.

Although seeking help may seem scary, the professionals at Illinois State University are trained to be sensitive to your needs. Even if you are unsure whether you have a problem, but would like to ask questions or speak with someone, we are available to listen and to provide assistance. Contact any one of the individuals or offices listed here to connect with the ECATT.

How can we help?

Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder, as well as other disordered eating behaviors, all include extreme emotions, attitudes, and behaviors surrounding weight and food issues. Taking the first step towards getting help is always the hardest, but it is never too late to acquire the skills needed to facilitate change.

A person’s size or weight is not necessarily an indication of the severity of their behaviors. The ECATT provides a supportive environment for individuals of all shapes and sizes. The team works with students to address their specific concerns.
