Student Counseling Services is excited to introduce eight workshops designed to help you learn useful skills and tools to increase well-being and improve coping. Workshops will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Convenient locations throughout campus make it easy for you to attend between classes, work, and extracurricular activities. You do not need to be an SCS client and no registration is required.

ABC’s of Relationships - Assertiveness, Boundaries, Communication – Struggle to stand up for yourself? Feel like others take advantage of you? Learn ways to set healthy boundaries, express your needs, and communicate effectively with everyone in your life.
Beating the Blues – Feeling down? Depression can manifest in a variety of ways. Learn how to recognize your symptoms and how they might be impacting your functioning in everyday life. You will also learn useful ways to cope with your symptoms and improve your overall wellbeing.
Express Your Stress – Need a place to get away from the chaos of day-to-day life? Want a way to reduce your stress. Engage in basic art therapy, utilizing a variety of mediums to express your feelings and reduce your overall stress. Guaranteed to make you feel better.
Managing Anxiety – Life can be stressful and we all feel anxious from time to time. If your anxiety is interfering with grades, classes, relationships, work, or any part of your life, it’s time to learn how to manage anxiety more effectively. Learn how to recognize the symptoms of anxiety and develop strategies to address your concerns.
Self-Care is for Everyone – Do you spend your day running from one commitment to another? Do you come home at the end of the day and crash, without taking a second for yourself? Self-care is essential to our health, physically and mentally. Learn easy ways to incorporate self-care into your daily routine and increase your overall wellbeing.
